Keith Michael's The Nutcracker (Brookfield Place - Winter Garden)

Dates: Friday, December 1 through 7PM & Saturday, December 2 - 1PM & 7PM

This free hour-long version of The Nutcracker is set Art Nouveau-style circa 1907 with innovative choreography by long-time New York Theatre Ballet choreographer, Keith Michael. One of NYC’s only free opportunities to enjoy a holiday must-see performance, it’s perfect for families. Keep in mind that seating is first come, first served and early arrival is strongly suggested.


Light Up Luminaries

Date: Tuesday, November 28 5:30-8PM

Light Up Luminaries is a free community holiday event to kick off Luminaries, the spectacular light installation and holiday tradition at Brookfield Place. Enjoy fun performances, free ice skating on the waterfront, sweet treats and more!

NYSE 94th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & The NYSE Closing Bell

Date: Thursday, November 30 2:30-6PM

The 94th annual New York Stock Exchange Christmas Tree lighting will feature live performances, the closing bell, and, of course, the lighting of the NYSE tree.

Sea of Light

Date: Kickoff party Tuesday, December 5 5:30PM/Exhibit all Winter

This winter, something spectacular is coming to the Seaport District NYC....Sea of Light is an immersive sensory adventure created in partnership with Symmetry Labs - a San Francisco based interactive light art collective known for unique collaborations at Burning Man, Panorama Music Festival, and Refinery 29's 29 Rooms.

To mark the launch, on 12/5 they're throwing a party on the cobblestones that’s set to light up even the coldest of December nights. There’ll be live music, free mulled wine and hot chocolate, xylobands (so you can be a part of the light show), and lots more. It’s free to RSVP but tickets are going fast, so reserve yours now.

Holiday Lights in Battery Park City

Date: Thursday, December 7 5:45-6:45PM

Join your neighbors in South Cove for caroling, warm beverages, cookies, and the Battery Park City community! If you want to donate a gift to Stockings with Care, please bring a new, unwrapped gift to the event. You may also drop off gift donations through Friday, December 15th at 75 Battery Place.

The Seaport District's Hanukkah Party

Date: Tuesday, December 12 6-8PM

Dance to live Klezmer music by Grammy winner Alicia Svigals, enjoy a candle lighting ceremony by Rabbi Katz of Chabad of Financial District, check out plenty of latkes, jelly donuts and gelt for guests along with an indoor, heated room where plenty of Hanukkah.
