Twenty Broad, housed in what used to be the New York Stock Exchange, is one of those buildings. We had the chance to sit down with Mitchell Wasser, Director of Marketing and Leasing at Metro Loft, to learn more. We’ve already packed out bags…
Tell us about Twenty Broad...
Originally part of the New York Stock Exchange, Twenty Broad has been re-imagined by Metroloft Development as a luxury rental development with spacious homes that offer a superior lifestyle experience. With over 150 unique layouts, ranging from studio, studio + home office, one bedroom, one bedroom + home office, and two- bedroom + home office residences, the residences are complimented by a thoughtfully curated collection of high-end amenities, highlighted by a plush rooftop terrace and sky lounge that offer city views.

Combined with award-winning downtown architecture firm, CetraRuddy, Metroloft focused meticulous attention to detail in its restoration The building has been reimagined within an iconic location to mirror the transformation of the Financial District as an in-demand 24-hour work, live, play neighborhood. What can locals expect?
We were very focused on weaving this building seamlessly into the neighborhood, rather than towering above it. I think that people are going to be drawn to the way we have embraced Twenty Broad’s landmark history as part of the New York Stock Exchange in both the exterior architecture, as well as incorporating the mid-century modern influences into the amenity spaces.

Twenty Broad will also feature a Technogym fitness center with a yoga studio, children’s playroom stocked with the latest games and toys, a library perfect for the work-from-home renter or study session (if your home office isn’t enough, we have those, too!), as well as a game room and lounge for private events, and of course resident and bicycle storage.

What do you love most about the Financial District?
In my opinion the Financial District is the epicenter of New York City. It’s constantly buzzing with energy, and the revitalization over the past decade has been remarkable. The neighborhood is considered one of the most desirable in the city for the live/work/play vibe that people are looking for. Not only is it connected with easy transit options – train, ferry, FDR and West Side Highwway – the influx of hotels, condos, restaurants and bars has been exciting to watch.
