SHOPPING: Dogs Below Canal (9.20.17)
Here at LBC we are avid dog lovers/owners (with three dogs between us and years of ‘downtown dog’ experience) and as such, know it can be tricky to have dogs in the city. That said, living below Canal affords a wealth of dog-friendly boutiques, shops and services (as well as dog parks to enjoy. Pupculture (170 Hudson St) - Offers a daycare and boarding facility for large and small dogs as well as grooming and a small amount of retail available.
Biscuits and Bath (73 Hudson St) - Offers daycare, boarding, training and grooming. They also offer a variety of dog walking packages and options with our without using their daycare.
Dudley’s Paw (327 Greenwich St) - A small neighborhood boutique featuring curated products from food to bones to dog beds and most things in between. This is definitely a friendly neighborhood spot well known in the community.
Petco (157 Chambers St) - From supplies to pet adoption, Petco is one of the largest pet stores downtown offering a variety of supplies for dogs from high end food to treats, toys and more.
Spot Canine Club (21 Murray St) - Doggy day care facility with room for 60 dogs that also offers transportation, retail, grooming, walking and boarding.
The Wagging Tail (77 Worth St) - A large doggy daycare facility they also offer walks, grooming and doggy cameras to watch your pet while they play. It is house in the same building as Water4Dogs (below).
Water4Dogs (77 Worth St) - A unique opportunity for downtown dogs to be able to swim year round in indoor, heated pools. Not only for fun, however, Water4Dogs offers therapeutic swimming and rehabilitation for dogs as well. They also offer services like special needs boarding and acupuncture.
Pamper Ur Pets (177 West Broadway) - A retail store dedicated to dog food, treats, clothing and all kinds of accessories. They deliver food in the downtown area within 2 miles.
Ciao Bow Wow (11 Maiden Lane) - An eco-friendly doggy daycare (for small breeds only) offering grooming and a boutique.
Petropolis (91 Washington Street) - Pet food and supplies as well as a grooming salon for neighborhoods pets. They deliver all over Manhattan and do adoption drives.
Fetch Club (85 South St) - Fetch Club is a 13,000 sq. foot “paradise” for dogs offering hotel, daycare, grooming, training, walking services, customized nutrition, and a curated retail boutique.
Le Pet Spa (300 Rector Place) - Offers retail, pet food, treats and more as well as a full service grooming salon.
