Don’t forget about these ongoing exhibits to check out:

-Auschwitz: Not Long Ago. Not Far Away - Auschwitz: Not Long Ago. Not Far Away., the first traveling exhibit focusing on the concentration camp in Poland is at The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial. The exhibit will feature hundreds of artifacts including a Model 2 freight wagon used for the deportation of Jews, concrete posts that were part of the camp’s fence and survivor testimonies. With anti-Semitism on the rise, the JHE believe the exhibit is a chance to view the horrors of the past as a call to action against hate, bigotry and intolerance. On display till September 1st.

-Black Gotham Experience - Check out the visual storytelling project highlighting the profound connection between the African Diaspora and New York City, as photographic artist Kamau Ware shares his celebration of New York’s Black heritage with Seaport District NYC (192 Front Street). Experience a series of walking tours, graphic novels, film screenings, and workshops in an exhibition of New York’s Black heritage.

-Sunset, Sunrise (Revolution) (FREE) - This temporary public art installation at Pier A Plaza is an interactive, large-scale sculpture designed specifically for the site. It consists of 27 aluminum panels embedded with 9,000 crystal prisms activated by natural light, and is based on a previous, three-panel installation in Austin, Texas, titled Hyperprism. The artwork will be on view through the summer of 2018 in front Pier A Harbor House, located at 22 Battery Place and the Hudson River.
