EVENTS/CULTURE: Thanksgiving Below Canal Street (11.12.18)

We’re counting down to Thanksgiving in NYC, and serving our roundup of how to prep, where to eat, and what to do all Thanksgiving weekend when your family and friends are visiting (or you need to take a break from them/it all!). Check out our rundown here…

How to prep for Thanksgiving:

Bubby’s Pies: Get your classic Apple Pie or Pecan Pie (we won’t tell anyone if you take credit for it) here. Don’t forget: Orders must be placed by November 18th & picked up between the 19th and 21st.

Greenmarket at Oculus Plaza: A great place to load up on produce and locally-made treats.

Milk Bar: The famous Thanksgiving croissant is back till the end of the month, featuring rosemary-laced dough and stuffed with turkey meat, gravy, and cranberry sauce.

Where to eat on Thanksgiving (don’t forget to check OpenTable, Resy & Reserve for other local options!):

Manhatta: They’re serving a $120 three-course prix fixe from 11:30am-7pm with a side of epic views.

Frenchette: They’re serving an aggressive four-course menu. Check out the full GrubStreet rundown here.

Locanda Verde: They’re serving a $125 prix fixe involving squash-filled pasta, their classic pastas, turkey with chestnut stuffing and more.

Houseman: They’re serving a four-course, $85 family-style prix fixe with a mix of their take on Nordic food featuring Thanksgiving staples.

American Cut: They’re serving a three-course prix-fixe for $85.

Bubby’s: They’re serving a special Thanksgiving meal with a portion of the proceeds going to charity.

Warren 77: Ok, fine, this is more about where to drink but it’s a great go-to if you need a break.
