FOOD + WINE: Caffeinating Below Canal (Part 2 - Battery Park & FiDi) 6.14.17
Today we explore a topic very near & dear to our hearts: COFFEE. Iced, hot, decaf, cold-brewed...we’re down for it all. What’s great about living below Canal Street is you never have to venture too far out to get your fix, either. Whether you’re by the Seaport or Pier 25, here’s the LBC rundown of our go-to coffee spots.
In PART 2 of a 2-part series, we cover where to caffeinate in Battery Park & Financial District....
Hole In The Wall Bar & Cafe (15 Cliff St)
Excellent Australian coffee shop & restaurant by day, espresso cocktail bar by night. The Breakfast Board and Coconut Quinoa Porridge are worth the wait. Read our interview with them here.
Bluestone Lane (2 Locations: 30 Broad St & 90 Water St)
Melbourne-inspired coffeeshop offering Australian-style espresso drinks & a solid avocado toast selection.
La Colombe Coffee Roasters (67 Wall St)
A city-wide favorite on Wall Street.
Birch Coffee (8 Spruce Street, entrance on Beekman Street)
Thoughtfully-sourced, house-roasted brews in a hip space with a lending library. Don’t sleep on their selection of iced teas!
Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee (222 Front St)
Rebuilt post-Sandy, we love their coffee, but it’s stairs only, so not stroller or handicap friendly.
Voyager Espresso (110 William St - enter via John St, down the stairs to the subway, between William St and Gold St - sounds confusing but it’s easy!)
This underground coffee shop doesn't play around, with “seasonal coffees” from around the world.
Inatteso Cafe (38 West St)
The perfect spot to grab a refresher before hitting the playground nearby.
Laughing Man Coffee & Tea (1 North End Ave)
A coffee shop with a cause to help better the world? We’re in.
