We’ve shared with you our favorite apple picking spots that are easy to access via car or train from downtown NYC. Now that we’re in full-blown pumpkin spice season, here’s some of our go-to pumpkin picking spots that AREN’T Whole Foods or the Greenmarket that offer a day of fun for pickers of all ages...

Located in Staten Island’s Historic Richmond Town, Decker Farm offers the ultimate October weekend excursion. On weekends in October from 11AM to 4PM, you can take a free shuttle bus to the nearby farm in Richmond Town to pick pumpkins and enjoy family-friendly activities.
Located in Huntington, LI, not only can you pick pumpkins right off the vine, but also enjoy a corn maze, hayrides and free admission! Note: If you go late enough you may be able to get a head start on picking out your christmas tree!
Located in Westchester Country and accessible via Metro-North, this family farm offers pumpkins, farm animals, hayrides, live music and more.
